Check the temperature

A thermometer is a great utensil for checking the temperature of your fridge and freezer.  It is important that these areas are kept at the right temperature for storing your food as it prevents bad bacteria from growing.  The coldest part of the fridge should be at no more than +5°C. and the freezer should be at -18°C or below.
