You need to be careful with fish as it may contain microbes that can cause food poisoning. The following tips will help:-
You should always store fish in the fridge but to avoid cross-contamination store fish away from other foods like salads, fruit, cooked meats etc.
Fish should be stored on the bottom shelf of the fridge so it doesn't drip on other foods.
Keep fish covered when storing.
When you have handled raw fish you should wash hands, equipment and work surfaces before any contact with other food.
Pregnant women, children or the elderly should not eat raw fish or shellfish.
