Cooking chicken

Chicken is a very popular meat but it is important that it is cooked properly. Raw chicken may have microbes in it which can cause food poisening.  It needs to be stored properly in the fridge.  However chicken should be kept away from other foods to avoid cross contamination. It is always best to store it on the bottom shelf of the fridge.

If your chicken has been frozen you must ensure it has been thoroughly defrosted before cooking.    You must cook until the meat is piping hot and check it is not pink in the middle.  The juices should be clear not bloody to ensure it is properly cooked.

Why don't you visit our recipe section to see what meals you can cook with chicken?
