How to separate an egg

You will need a knife, saucer, egg cup and a bowl available before you start.  Firstly use the knife to tap the middle of the egg sharply to make it crack. Then carefully pull the two halves of the shell apart and allow the contents to fall onto the saucer.  Turn the egg cup upside down over the yellow yolk and hold it down.  You will then be able to drain the egg white into the small bowl you have available.
