My first attempt at cooking was with my Grandma. My sisters and I were only young and she taught us how to make an icecream cake as a surprise for my dad’s birthday.  We used swiss roll, icecream and a drop of sherry.  The recipe is now used at many family celebrations today – over 20 years later!
